"Ania is an incredible teacher who is kind, observant and patient. She has a genuine passion for bringing out the best potential in her students and has helped me immensely in removing psychological blocks that have held me back from fully expressing myself through singing." - Shanna Rogan, Interior Designer

 About The Song Within

The Song Within was created by Ania Hardy in 2013. It arose from her passion and desire to help others express themselves through singing. Due to an experience that left her blocked for nearly two decades, Ania knows and understands the fears that come from expressing ourselves, often vulnerably, when we sing. It is from this personal experience that she has developed her skills as a compassionate, warm and

engaging teacher and voice workshop leader.

Here at The Song Within you will find the support you need to explore your individual singing desires

through one to one bespoke singing lessons.

 About Ania: Singer-Songwriter / Artist / Teacher

Ania has been teaching a variety of the creative arts for 13 years. She initially trained as a sculptor and subsequently became a Secondary School Art & Design Teacher trained at the Institue of Edcuation. This inspired a love of teaching that extended into singing and the performing arts. She has taught at festivals accross the country and run soldout singing workshops for adults in East London. She uses all of her artistic sensibilities to influence her unique and charismatic teaching style to inspire her students of all ages and abilities.

Ania has been working for Hackney Music Service as a peripatetic singing teacher for the last three years, where she continues to have regular CPD (Continued Professional Development), lesson observations for peer assessment

and is fully DBS checked.

She recorded her debut EP and lives and works in East London.

 Teaching Philosophy

Ania's teaching philosophy is to give her students the tools they need in order to sing in a safe and healthy way to express themselves freely and with joy. Her aim is for her role as a singing teacher to be made redundant as quickly as possible.

Here is why...

Singing is the most natural thing in the world and once upon a time there were no 'singing teachers'. In many cultures around the world people have always sung together; at home, in school, in church and with their families as it was a part of life and as natural as breathing. Tragically, a lot of people in the UK no longer sing as part of their daily lives. We no longer sing as we work the lands and many of us have become disconnected from our own voices – which has powerful ramifications beyond just singing. Our voices are how we communicate and connect with the world and singing is a beautiful way to express this and to connect with each other and our friends and communities. Therefore, the role of the 'singing teacher' is ultimately a corrective put in place to help people come back to that which they've always known.

It is Ania’s intention and hope to help you achieve a sense of joy and self empowerment through singing.
